6 Week Body Makeover review

6 Week Body Makeover review

This 6 Week Body Makeover review will be helpful for you to look over, if you are thinking about purchasing this weight loss system.

With the claim that you can lose up to 30 pounds in only 6 weeks, this product is certainly tempting! Yet, does it live up to the hype, and can it really deliver these results in your situation? This is an important question, as you don’t want to waste your time and effort on an approach that doesn’t work. To help you determine if this product is right for your needs, let’s examine it in more detail below.

What Makes It Different?

Supposedly, 6 Week Body Makeover creator Michael Thurmond has uncovered a way to eat right for your body type. He claims this will change your body in a short period of time, and it will help you slim down your problem areas as well. How does it work?

You begin by determining your body type blueprint, which will give you step by step instructions for losing weight. This is advertised as being tailored right to your specific needs, so you lose weight much more rapidly. The problem is that weight loss is built on universal principles, and there is no magic food or exercise which will make some people skinny but not others! The belief that the right meal plan will give you an advantage for your specific metabolism, certainly isn’t proven by reputable research.

What About the Meal Recipes?

At this point you may be thinking, that the meal recipes must help you shed extra pounds. After all, they are healthy and designed for people who want to lose weight. The truth is, they do have some benefit, but not for the reasons which are promoted. Using these meal recipes will likely create some results in your situation, because they follow sound principles of weight loss in general. They are designed to create a calorie deficit in your diet every day, meaning you are bound to burn off extra energy in the form of body fat. Yet, this has nothing to do with your body type, but it is a simple approach which will work for everyone instead! Therefore, you will be paying a significant amount of money for nothing, as you can do this type of dieting all on your own.

Short Exercise Sessions?

Another feature which may have drawn you to this weight loss system, is the low exercise requirements. Unlike other fitness products, you won’t have to endure workouts on a daily basis. Michael Thurmond states that all you will need is 15-18 minutes of exercise, two times during the week. Even with this modest level of training, he claims that his special sculpting exercises will begin to create the body of your dreams!

Is this really plausible? This 6 Week Body Makeover review finds these claims to be dubious at best, as you must burn calories if you are ever to achieve weight loss success. Exercising is the only way to do so, and any plan which doesn’t include adequate amounts of training is doomed to fail. Even if Michael Thurmond’s targeted exercises are more efficient, there is simply not enough time spent in the gym to see an effect. Therefore, this product is fundamentally flawed, and you likely won’t see the results which you are after.

It’s Risk Free, Right?

With all of these negative issues, you may be less inclined to give the 6 Week Body Makeover system a try. However, you’ve probably heard that it comes with a full refund guarantee, so you may think that you have nothing to lose. After all, if you try it and it doesn’t work to your satisfaction, you can simply send it back. While this is technically correct, you need to read the fine print to learn the truth. This 6 Week Body Makeover review has discovered, that the guarantee is contingent upon you losing up to 30 pounds. This sounds good, but you must look closer to see why it offers you no protection. You see, even if you lose only a single pound of body weight, you will be unable to return this product for a refund! As skipping a single meal can have this effect, it is clear that this warranty is offered only for show.

A Good Value?

You may want to have a support system in place, and are still interested in using this product to provide it for you. You might reason that the meal recipes alone will be helpful, as long as you don’t pay too much for the privilege. Unfortunately, with a price tag of nearly $120, the 6 Week Body Makeover is anything but cheap! You’d be better served to save your money, and spend it on a membership at your local gym instead. This will ensure that you get the proper amount of exercise which you need, so you can begin losing those extra pounds.

Strict Methods!

Further, many negative customer comments where uncovered when performing research for this 6 Week Body Makeover review. Some people were dissatisfied with how strict the eating plan was, and felt that a more well-rounded diet would be better for them. Further, they were unhappy that with their high level of dedication and discipline, they still had only modest weight loss results. This is probably because this system doesn’t include enough aerobic training, as already mentioned above.

Is It the Best Choice?

You should now have a clearer picture about what the 6 Week Body Makeover system can provide. Though it does have some good meal recipes included, these can be found from other sources. The idea that your body has a specific type, and that you can eat a special diet for your metabolism, is not backed up by any research. Further, the claim that you will lose up to 30 pounds in 6 weeks with very little exercise, is probably a stretch at best. Also, you are offered no protection from their refund guarantee, and it appears to be an attempt to trick consumers instead.

So, with all of these negative features, you may be better off avoiding this product. The high price is a turn off as well, and you can get more for your money elsewhere. Even purchasing lessons from a personal trainer might produce more weight loss for you!

Therefore, it is the conclusion of this 6 Week Body Makeover review, that you’d be better served to keep looking for another weight loss solution.

My only advice to those who wants to lose weight, exercise 5 days a week and eat healthy food recommended by your doctors. You don’t really need to buy any of this programs if you can create your own diet plan, its cheaper and effective. Stay to your own diet plan and I’m sure you’ll get your ideal weight, just like I did.

Read Weight Loss 101 for a large number of missing pieces.

Never take a doctor or anyone’s “recommendation” about food.

Just find the people who have the health + body you’d like to have, ask them what they do, them model/copy what they do.

Avoid experts. Look for people with living results.

Hi everyone! I am 14 years old and I’m fat. I’m depressed and I need help. I love to eat but I do exercise at the same time but instead of losing, I’m gaining more weight. really weird! I saw on tv this 6 Week Body Makeover program and was convinced with its amazing results. I really want to try this one. Is it safe to take this program considering my age or am I too young to use this diet program?

    • Tracy February 24, 2012 at 10:14 am #

I think its better for you to have your own diet plan. You’re still young, stop eating fatty foods and just do a lot of exercise or join sports activities at your school. There are still a lot of ways when your younger, just stay committed and focused to your goal which is to lose weights.

I bought 6 Week Body Makeover because I am desperate to get my figure back. I started using the product for almost 2 months now and yes I shed some pounds but then I got sick. Maybe my body was not prepared to do the program that’s why I stopped using it.

When I was 22 years old, I was overweight. I’ve already tried some weight loss products before and they were all not working for me. But then, I tried 6WBMO for 2 months and I’ve already dropped 55 lbs. How ideal is that! I’ve been using 6WBMO til now to maintain my figure. This product is awesome!

I am very disappointed with 6 week body makeover program. Aside from being completely ineffective, they have poor customer service. I already returned their product but I haven’t receive my refund yet. Very frustrating. To avoid having the same problem, don’t buy this program.

When taking 6 Week Body Makeover you have to be dedicated to it. It took me some time to lose some weight, but it works for me. So if you’re up to losing weight fast, this will not fit your needs.

  8. Renae TX December 20, 2011 at 11:33 am #

My first 2 weeks of taking this program was so hard. I wanted to give up, but I really wanted to lose weight so I stick to it. After some time, my body was used to it and I’m happy to share with you that I just reached my ideal weight.

  9. Gloria December 24, 2011 at 11:25 am #

My sister was using this program for about 4 months and she lost a lot of pounds. So jealous of her, that’s why I ordered it and can’t wait to begin. I am looking forward for a good result.

For more than 4 year, I was over weight for about 100 lbs after having a baby. I tried different loss weight products I can find and even going to gyms but it didn’t work for me. I saw the infomercial of this 6 week body makeover and bought it. I was so happy that it is working out for me. Though I am still overweight but I already lost 50+ lbs so far.

  11. Reina January 4, 2012 at 12:37 pm #

I have used this program and it definitely works really great for me. I already lost 15 lbs of weight for a month but I know that I could lost a lot better if I strictly followed the program and watch what I was eating as well.

  12. Mark M January 6, 2012 at 12:40 pm #

Well, I see more pro’s than con’s around about the reviews for this program! I bought it a few days ago and just received it earlier and am very excited to start it tomorrow. I do believe that everyone metabolizes food differently so all diet out there will not work for everyone the same way.

  13. Mike January 10, 2012 at 12:46 pm #

6 Week Body Makeover really does work if you strictly follow the guide! It’s a great guide to help you lose weight especially if you are having a hard time losing weight. I have lost over 50 lbs in 4 months time and to think I didn’t strictly follow the program as it should be. There are days I cheat but still I am very that it really work out pretty good for me.

  14. Jaz January 14, 2012 at 1:05 pm #

I ordered the program few days ago and it will arrive early next week. I am excited and nervous to try this product. I have seen good reviews with this so I hope it will work pretty good for me. I love to eat fruits but not much of veggies but I am willing to sacrifice since I am looking forward to look and feel better with my health.

  15. Deborah January 18, 2012 at 1:35 pm #

I tried the 6 week body makeover program couple years ago for 6 months and I lost 40 lbs with that. I started the program again 4 weeks ago and I already lost 10 lbs so I’m really happy. It does really work!

  16. Steve February 1, 2012 at 1:39 pm #

I admit that I have doubts here because I read that 6WBM is limiting your calorie count and doing some light exercise. I can see why some people are getting results of the product. I am not trying to say negative about it but it does sound like the facts of a drastic lowered calorie count and maybe a metabolism jump seems to be the point of the program which is the same as other weight loss products out there.

  17. John Mark February 4, 2012 at 1:43 pm #

I started the 6 week body makeover 3 weeks ago and I am feeling really good especially that my friends have noticed the weight that I lost. I noticed real results all over my body and couldn’t believe what I had accomplished in such a sort time. This program does work, and our grocery bill did increase but health is wealth!

  18. Angel February 6, 2012 at 1:48 pm #

I just happened to be changing through the tv channels and I saw this infommercial about the 6 week body makeover and was a little more than intrigued. I watched it a few minutes and then went to the computer and purchased it. Then I felt hugely apprehensive!

Anyway, I am somewhat relieved to see so many good reviews and feedback about the product. When my box comes I will give it all I got for at least 6 weeks and we’ll see how it goes!

  19. LillianC3158 February 7, 2012 at 11:53 am #

Find more reviews or comments first before purchasing. I wanted to try this product but I’ve read some of the reviews saying beware when taking this one.

  20. Michael February 10, 2012 at 1:52 pm #

I really love this program because I have not only lose weight but learned a lot especially on what to eat. Our body needs food to function properly but the foods need to be balanced. If you have basic nutrition on how your body digests protein, carbs and fats, you will have an obvious idea on what foods you should eat to balance it out.

  21. Michele March 1, 2012 at 5:26 am #

6 Week Body Makeover really works for me! I’ve taken this program for a year now and it didn’t fail to amuse me. I’ve lost a lot of pounds and now I am happy to share that I have already achieved my desired weight. It is really a great program! Just stay committed and you will see the results.

  22. CutiePie March 2, 2012 at 3:41 am #

After reading the reviews I believe that I would like to try it. I have nothing to lose and I need to lose about 80lbs. I think its worth the gamble. So we’ll see!!!

  23. cupcake March 21, 2012 at 7:34 pm #

It seems like alot of the reviews say the same thing lost lots of pounds .. i think that sounds kind of fishy.I think im going to go with the review and skip this one. I think any diet that states 15-18 min. of exersise 2 times a week is questionable.thank you for the review.

  24. Mr OH August 12, 2012 at 8:09 pm #

The dietary portion of 6 week body makeover in a nutshell, is

    1) Stop eating foods that are high in fat, sugar, and sodium — eat a balanced diet of only “whole natural” foods like lean proteins, whole grains, and fresh fruits and vegetables. No dairy products until after you reach your target weight (“living lean” phase)

    2) Eat smaller meals more frequently (6X) throughout the day

    3) Drink plenty of water, 100 ounces per day, and eliminate beverages containing fat, sugar, sodium. No milk, juices, or sodas

The plan is not really sustainable as presented, which must be why it has a nominal lifespan of “6 weeks”. If you start this plan cold turkey, you may lose weight quickly (I lost 28 lbs, from 210 down to 182 in about 6 weeks), but you will go through serious withdrawal from all the foods you love. Combine that with being burned out from having to plan/prepare/cook every single meal 6X per day, and after 6 weeks pizzas and all you can eat buffets start looking real good.
