If you have been searching for natural ways to lose weight, then you may be interested in this Lipozene review.
If you want to shed unwanted pounds, you have probably been looking for additional help. Yet, many different products are available on the market today, and it can be difficult to select one that really works! To help you discover if Lipozene is right for your situation, let's examine the potential problems with this supplement in more detail below.
"Special" Ingredients?
While this product sounds good in theory, there are some major problems in reality. The primary active ingredient is a special form of fiber, which is derived from the root of the Konjac plant. This is called glucomannan, which is a vegetable fiber, which can't be digested by your body. Therefore, it is supposed to add no additional calories to your diet, yet help keep you feeling full. How does this help you lose weight? The makers of Lipozene claim that if you take two capsules with water before each of your three primary meals during the day, you will start eating less. This is due to you feeling full, because of the added fiber in your diet.
Is this the basis for the entire product? Not quite, as there are a few other additional ingredients as well. These include green tea to speed up your metabolism and fat burning process. Also, Kola-Nut is included, to give you elevated energy levels even though you are eating less. Finally, both B6 and B12 are supposed to increase your metabolism too, so you continue to burn extra calories throughout the day.
Fiber Isn't This Powerful!
With only natural ingredients included, yet significant weight loss being advertised, this product sounds like a winner. Yet, there are some issues with their approach, as fiber alone isn't enough to produce the results which they claim! For example, it is recommended that the average adult eat at least 25 grams of fiber each day, to maintain health. Yet, Lipozene delivers only a small portion of that, so it can't possibly fill you up as they say. Further, some rumors of this type of fiber being banned overseas have surfaced, as well as unsubstantiated reports of it causing obstructions in the intestines. On the whole, Lipozene's overall concept is flawed, and at best they have a very expensive fiber product only.
Unsubstantiated Clinical Studies
The manufacturers of Lipozene state on their website, that several clinical studies have been performed on the effectiveness of Lipozene. Unfortunately, these are only claims, as no one can find the actual research results. In fact, this Lipozene review has uncovered that the Federal Trade Commission recently fined the producers of Lipozene (a company called Obesity Research Institute) an astonishing 1.5 million dollars! They imposed this penalty for making false claims about their product. Clearly, this is not a trustworthy business, a fact which the FTC has officially recognized.
Free Trial Scam!
This is another example of shady marketing tactics, where the company makes unsubstantiated claims. They are relying upon the fact that the consumer will be none the wiser, and they will still sell a huge amount of their product. Also, they extend a "no risk" trial offer, which allows you to get a full refund if you wish. This baits the hook even further, tempting you to purchase Lipozene - after all what do you have to lose?
Unfortunately, the fine print doesn't lie, and this no risk offer is actually an agreement for future shipments! This means if you don't cancel within the first 30 days after you initial purchase, you will be sent another month's supply automatically. These types of scams are so prolific in the industry, that the Federal Trade Commission has begun to ban them altogether.
Too Expensive
At this point you may be unwilling to receive this product even if it were free! Yet, it is one of the pricier diet supplements on the market today, as a month's supply will run you about $90. Even if you take advantage of the buy one, get one free offer, you'll still be out $45. As any good Lipozene review will tell you, that's simply too much to pay for a fiber supplement, with dubious weight loss evidence.
Further Issues
If all these problems weren't enough to demonstrate what a poor choice Lipozene is, there are even more issues as well. For example, there isn't a comprehensive listing of the product's ingredients by the manufacturer on their website. This alone is worrisome, but when taken with the above, is a deal breaker. Further, there is no company history either, which is another sign that this operation is suspect.
Also, some users have reported negative effects, though the official company site claims that none have every been discovered. These include abdominal swelling, which produced either constipation or mild nausea. Finally, Lipozene promotes an unbalanced approach to weight loss, saying only a simple supplement will achieve all the results you desire. Most experts agree, the best programs are multifaceted, and incorporate dietary changes and healthy exercise too.
Conclusion
It should now be clear to you, that Lipozene should be avoided! First, its ingredients are nothing special, as it is made up of simple fiber and a few vitamins. While this isn't damaging to your health, it is doubtful that this will spur weight loss of 5.5 pounds every 2 months, as the manufacturer claims. Further, the supposed studies which have been performed to provide conclusive evidence of Lipozene's effectiveness, can't be verified. In fact, the Federal Trade Commission actually fined Obesity Research Institute 1.5 million dollars for their unsubstantiated claims. This alone should be enough to convince you that this product is a scam!
Yet, the problems continue, including a free trial offer which is actually a trap. You will be sent extra shipments if you don't cancel. Also, with all of these issues the price should be extremely low, yet it is actually one of the more expensive weight loss supplements on the market currently.
So, if you've been searching for a natural supplement to help you shed unwanted pounds, Lipozene is best avoided. Save your money and purchase a quality product instead, and many are offered on the market today.
It is the conclusion of this Lipozene review, that you'll have superior results when you stay far away from this inferior item!
If you are looking to lose weight safely, then here's our current recommendation...

Great review you got here. I was about to purchase the product since I always see it on TV and good thing I tried to search online about this and came to this page. Thanks for not recommending this product. I tried to go for healthy diet like just taking fruit and vegetables most of the time and it really works better. Good thing I didn’t but this and save my money instead.
Eric, you’re right on the money. As our reviewer pointed out, Lipozene’s claim to fame is glucomannan, a powerful, water soluble fiber. Problem is Lipozene contains very small amounts of glucomannan.
Another problem with glucomannan is the high heat distillation process used to convert Konjac root into glucomannan powder. This destroys many subtle nutrients. Thus glucomannan powder is a highly unbalanced substance.
Eric, as you say better to focus on getting your dietary fiber from fresh fruits and veges.
Beware, Do not order this as you cannot cancel the auto shipment. I made a mistake, I ordered it before reading reviews online and this really gave me a lot of troubles. I refused packages and they still sent me another package after 2 months. I called to get a refund on the 1st package I refused but they didn’t give it to me since I didn’t have a RMA. Customer service is worst!
When companies play these games… smells like a scam… Best avoided.
Guys, you have to realize that when you take a product like this, you can’t expect to really lose weight if you don’t exercise or change your diet. This may not be perfect but I have a few friends who took it and worked good for them but they also changed their diet as well. I didn’t take this as I don’t need it but I saw the improvements from my friends who tried this.
I was curious about this when I saw the commercial on TV. I didn’t order it from their website but rather bought it from walmart since I saw it there. I heard a lot of good feedbacks from other people but it might not be for everyone. Anyway, I am just starting it today and I will see if there’s some improvements that I will see.
@NicoleLane have you had any results you started taking the pills?
After seeing the commercial of this product on tv for the past year, I really thought that this product might really be good to last on TV that long. I thought it would have been long gone if it wasn’t effective at all. I didn’t buy it through the phone and bought it instead from walmart. I didn’t lose any weight and the only thing I noticed is that it makes me go to the bathroom more often.
I bought this crap at walmart last month and I didn’t see any improvements at all. It even makes me eat more. Don’t buy this product. I tried Xendrine and it works better for me than this one.
my dad bought lipozene @ walmart never took it so i started taking it about 1 week ago and already lost 20 lbs it works wonders w/ exercise and self control so i love this
20 pounds in one week?! its impossible to loose that much that fast…and if you truely did loose that much, you might need to visit the doctor because something serious could be wrong. loosing 20 pounds in one week is NOT healthy.
It is possible to lose 20 lbs in one week. I did it with my doctor on a diet pill she perscribed…it was all water weight…so it is possible.
One of my daughters ordered this product on the phone and she ordered it for one month only just to give it a try. To our surprised she received a package for 3 months and I was billed $51.20 and the worst is that it says 1 of 3 payments! This is a scam. I cancelled any future orders and returned the product.
I just bought this product from walmart last night and already opened and tried one this morning. I hoped I read some reviews online before trying it. I think this is just a waste but I will still continue on it since I already started it and we will see if it helps in any way.
I have been using Lipozene for a week now and I still didn’t lose any weight so far. The worse is that it makes me feel bloated and want to eat more. Do not buy or try this product and save your money!
I feel the same way too. Instead of losing weight, I gained some more. This product is a SCAM!
I almost ordered it through the phone but I guess I am lucky enough to read this review and the comments of other people. I could have wasted my money. I appreciate all your inputs here.
I was ready to buy but thanks for doing the research for us and save us money. At least I tried to check the reviews online and lucky to see the comments of other people here. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I’m very disappointed with Lipozene results. I tried it for couple of days and I got sick.
Julie, please expand on your comments for our members.
Describe exactly how Lipozene made you feel sick.
ppl plz stop whinning…. ANYTHING U FIND ON TV CAN BE FOUND IN STORES EVEN IF THEY TELL U, YOU’LL NEVER FIND IT TRUST ME U WILL…. GO TO WALMART OR EVEN RITE AID , CVS, WALGREENS AND GET IT FOR $19.99…ok….. no diet pill or wght loss program will make u lose wght in 1 week u need atleast 3 – 4 weeks for it to tell u anything… HOWEVER, if u take this product and then do atleast 2 body wraps a week…. YOU WILL BE AMAZED!!!! IN 2 WEEKS GUARANTEED!!!!!!
I bought Lipozene last year and I’ve been taking it since then. I lost 25 lbs in a very short amount of time! I also do workout a lot and eat healthy food at the same time. And now, I feel really really great!
I tried this product last year and I didn’t lose a single pound. But I was recommended a pill called SlimForte and have been taking it for 3 months and have lost 25 lbs. I have been watching what I eat but nothing extreme. I highly recommend SlimForte
Ive been taking Lipozene for a couple months and I actually have lost weight.15 lbs to date, however I dont exercise daily maybe twice a week. So ill say this product does work with at least a little exercise.
LIPOZENE IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tried the product without any results. Sent empty containers back in, as instructed, on February 2, 2012 and as of today, April 3, 2012 they claim they have not received my return. Stupid me did not certify the return so I have no proof, other than if the product had worked, I’d still be ordering it. This was a lesson that cost me $31.30 but it was one well learned.
Thanks to Lipozene, I’ll never trust this online guarantees anymore. I hope the makers and the people sell this product can sleep at night knowing their only in it to rip people off….
I ordered Lipozene then searched the internet for reviews. I didnt like what I read so I sent it back without opening it. They claim that they never recieved it and refused to refund my money. They are a scam.
You have provided no references or evidence that anything you’ve said is true. How can we believe you??? You could be, or hired by, the competition to persuade consumers to not purchase the product. I have searched all over and found no evidence to support your claims regarding the FTC and this product.
it work if you work out and change diet you cannot think smothing going to work on a 200lb pound man and think its just going to fall off you have to stop being lazy and exersice and hour a day
Obviously from all the reviews that I have read from different sites…People are different, ergo, different reactions to Lipozene. Some people experienced weight loss while others experience bloating and hunger. I’m not going to lie, I got both end of the stick here. I feel full every time that I eat, but also feel that my energy has been drained…not that I had any to begin with…lol. I am going to keep on trying it and see where this goes…Keep you guys on the update!
People are idiots.. See that link to THEIR recommended product? Yeah,,, they can BS all day to con you into buying their product… Idiots…
