Sensa Review - Health Research News
Let’s walk through Sensa‘s site “How It Works”.
Sensa‘s sums it up by saying you’ll…
Feel Full Faster. Lose Weight.
Sensa claims to help you “Lose Weight”.
Here’s all you need to know about weight loss:
“You know how well you’re nourished by the number of hours
you forget to eat. Always hungry? Then what you’re eating isn’t food… for you.”
Sensa helps your “feel full faster” and “lose weight” by artificially manipulating Alliesthesia which can cause all manner of challenges.
Alliesthesia, aliesthestic taste change or aliesthestic mechanism all describe how food taste interacts with taste and smell receptors. For a simple demonstration, sit down with a nice, ripe pineapple and start eating. At first each bite is delicious, then eventually bites become acidic, burn or taste repulsive.
Alliesthesia works by sensing nutrients in their natural state, primarily mineral salts and flavor components which give food their taste, smell and color. Flavor components are rich in antioxidants, the stuff of longevity.
Sensa flat out states they’re spoofing Alliesthesia. Sensa is the spam email of white powders. The ones you get trying to trick you into giving away your credit card info.
Sensa tricks your smell and taste receptors into believing you’re eating useful nutrients instead of CRAP (continually reducing attitude + performance) substances. CRAP substances may be non-nutrients, which simply tax your elimination system. Or anti-nutrients which create detoxification or immune system response, both of which eat away at your longevity.
Here’s another quote from the Sensa “How It Works”:
“As you eat smell and taste receptors send messages to your brain
which release hormones that tell your body it’s time to stop eating.”
First here’s all you need to know about weight gain, weight loss, losing fat fast, especially losing stuborn fat fast like muffin tops, belly fat and hip fat.
- We eat primarily because we’re hungry.
- There are two primary stages of life – maturation + maintenance.
- Maturation requires macro nutrients for rapid gains in height, muscle mass and bone density.
- Maintenance requires micro nutrients for regenerating existing cells.
- Micro nutrients include vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, cofactors.
- Cooked, processed and animal foods are extremely low in assimilable (able to be digested + absorbed) micro nutrients.
- If your diet is rich in these foods, you’ll have to eat massive amounts of
macro nutrients just to get enough micro nutrients to maintain life. - If your macro nutrient intake (eating) is more than you can eliminate
(bowel movements) the balance has to go some where. If it can’t go out,
then it goes to your belly, thighs, hips anywhere it can be stored.
Sensa spoofs or tricks your body into thinking you’re eating micro nutrients.
The more micro nutrient deficient a person is, the more harmful this spoofing. When aliesthestic taste change is spoofed, hunger signals telling you to eat micro nutrients you require to stay alive or thrive are turned off. This spoofing means deficiencies can accelerate creating a potential for all manner of hard to diagnose deficiency challenges.
Sensa “How It Works” states this flat out:
“By enhancing smell, SENSA® Tastants were designed to help speed up the process and trigger your “I feel full” signal, so you eat less and feel more satisfied.”
Instead of having your taste + smell lead you to correct, micro nutrient foods, Sensa spoofs, hijacks + short circuits this process.
“Because SENSA® works with your body’s natural impulses, rather than
against them, there are no feelings of hunger or intense cravings.”
More correct to say “hijacks your body’s natural impulses” rather than ”works with”.
Sensa is simply another product designed to separate you from your hard earned health and money.
Here’s all you need to know about weight loss:
“You know how well you’re nourished by the number of hours
you forget to eat. Always hungry? Then what you’re eating isn’t food… for you.”
The professor wants to know about your experience with Sensa. Feel free to post it in the comments section below…

I am so glad that I found this site. I was about to give Sensa a try, I am trying to lose 20 pounds for my upcoming wedding! I’m scratching it off my list of options after reading this.
Megan, if you’re targeting a 20lb weight loss, look at…
http://HealthResearchNews.com/weight-loss-101
as a great info source. My guess is a good bit of this will be new info.
All Sensa did for me was upset my stomach, whatever you do DON’T try it. They would not give me my money back either. Then they shipped another batch which I just returned to sender, never even opened it.
Sensa works by “confusing Alliesthesia” which is your normal hunger impulse system.
Depending on your metabolism (how your internal chemical processes work) this may disrupt your digestion. For example, imagine you eat a food that requires 10 digestion steps. During each step, your body converts food from one form to another.
During each of these conversion steps a new set of metabolites (chemical markers) are produced, which signal your body to progress to the next step.
Now imagine you’re on step #6 and you ingest Sensa and your Alliesthesia is confused sending a false single you’re on step #10 and your food digestion is finished.
Very bad! This may result in all sorts of gas and pain. Ouch.
Taking Sensa is non-Sensa-cal.
I have been on Sensa for about 7 months now.
I’ve lost about 10 pounds since starting, I think that is from my own workouts. I watch what I eat and count my calories.
I exercise at least 4 days a week doing both strength training and cardio.
If you ask me Sensa is a waste of money! Now that I have used all mine up, I am NOT buying more.
Rich4434, great point.
Better to exercise and eat well than fork over your cash for Sensa.
Took Sensa for a month to try it out, didn’t lose a single pound. I made no other changes to my lifestyle. Scientific test? Probably not, but still a waste of money if you ask me.
I am just over 60 years old and have a bad ankle, it hurts to walk and makes any kind of exercise extremely painful. It hurts enough that I just don’t even try anymore, walking is a chore these days. I know I am getting old but didn’t expect my body to start giving out so quickly. I do my best to eat sensible meals and when I get serious about it and really focus on my diet I am able to lose some weight. I always feel better when I am lighter. Even my ankle seems to feel better. The one thing I have learned over and over again is that all these weight loss scams are exactly that, scams. Trust me I have tried plenty of them. The only thing that has worked for me over the years is discipline. Master discipline and you will be able to lose weight. I am still doing this, my weight goes up and down not because I start or stop to take a diet pill but because I lose my discipline and start to eat the wrong things.
DeannaDP, you might enjoy doing some joint regeneration experiments.
I blew my knees out when I was a kid. Had intense pain for years.
After a few days… that’s right, just days… of using Biomemetic (human compatible), excipient free MSM along with Camu Camu (high grade Vitamin C) and AFA (Super Blue Green Algae) all the pain in my joints was gone. This allowed me to start exercising again.
I’d avoid Celltech AFA. Look for cold processed (air dried) Blue Green Algae.
Thank God for this review! I was seriously just about to buy this but after a couple minutes on Google and finding this. I have changed my mind. Seems like such a scam.
Modern day snake oil, nothing more. Selling hopes and dreams instead of something that actually works is atrocious. I have no idea how these people sleep at night!
I tried Sensa and thankfully bought it at my local GNC store so I didn’t get stuck with the autoship on a monthly basis deal people are talking about. Isn’t that illegal?
Oh yeah, forgot to say that after a month of trying it out I had not lost any weight. I was pretty upset about this because I have tried so many things already.
