Truth Telling Strongly Effects Weight Loss Speed

Why Do Dreams Effect Us Same As Real Life?

Remember the last time you woke up from a pleasant dream or a terrifying nightmare?

Why were you smiling or you heart pounding?

Because your brain informs your body about what’s real and how to respond.

When you have a nightmare and wake up in a cold sweat your body has responded to your dream as if it was real… because… according to your brain, your dream was real.

How do your thoughts + self talk effect your weight loss?

Thoughts drive everything from your sugar and energy metabolism, to your immune response and neurotransmitter production.

All words + thoughts either boost or reduce your biological function.

How Truth Telling Effect You.

Imagine how you feel when you tell a whopper of a lie. Now imagine the effect of 100s of micro lies over days, weeks, months, years.

Micro lies are small lies which are so common place in our culture we rarely register them.

Micro lies aggregate or merge together into the same effects as whopper lies.

Some common micro lies…

“I never have any money.” This is a lie, unless you’ve never had a penny in your pockets your entire life.

“I can’t loss weight.” This is a lie. If I toss you on a dessert island where there are only trees of coconuts, mangos, papayas and avocados… and come back a month later… you’ll be skinny as a rail.

You get the idea.

How You Truth Tell Can Help or Hinder Your Weight Loss

Imagine two statements.

1) I hate being fat.

2) I love being slim and fit.

Both statements are true. And each effects your biology differently.

Say each our loud. Notice how the first statement contracts and collapses your energy and mood. Notice how the second one expands and builds your energy and mood.

Positive Self Talk 101

Telling lies or micro lies… speaking truth using energy and mood collapsing words… focusing on the negative rather than positive… all effect the speed of your weight loss.

Here are a set of Self Talk experiments to do for the rest of your life.

“Never say Never.” Starting sentences with “I never” or “I always” are two sides of the same micro lie. Instead say, “I love when…”

“Do a ‘Not’ Fast.” Not Fasting is very cool. Every time you use the “Not” word or words ending in the “n’t” contraction, as in can’t, write these down and rephrase them in positive terms.

“Do a ‘Need/Want’ Fast.” Both these words mean lack. Consider statements like, “I want more love in my life.” This translates internally as “I lack more love in my life.” This is either a lie or programming yourself for self sabotage. Either way, try substituting the word desire for want and require for need. See how this effects your energy and mood.

“Let me.” This is another form of consciousness collapsing Self Talk. For example,
“Let me get you some water.” This is a form of high co-dependance. Better approaches are to ask a person, “Might you enjoy some water?” (Be sure to avoid want, as in “Do you want some water?”) Another approach is to simply get the person some water and say, “Here’s your water.”

“I get to have more {fill in the blank} in my life.” This is an insidious form of micro lie. It’s like saying I get to stand up. You’re either sitting, standing or in motion between the two. The word “getting” is a short circuit word. There is no way you can every “get to have anything”. You either have it or or working out details of having it.
