All About Fight or Flight
Anxiety is a form of Fight or Flight, which is the survival mechanism that keeps you alive.
Fight or Flight is easy to understand. If a bear give chase, you have to either out run it or out fight it… or you’re bear food.
When Fight or Flight activates your entire metabolism changes. Priority goes to survival and all else is sacrificed – cell regeneration, immune function, weight loss.
Unfortunately, Fight or Flight also burns up huge amounts of reserve nutrients.
Fat Metabolism Explained
Remember, if your fat, this means your literally starving to death. Being fat means you’re stavring for micro-nutrients – minerals, enzymes, anti-oxidants, oxygen, water – and the foods you’re eating are macro-nutrient rich.
Macro-nutrients are great for fuel. Not so great for energy, beauty, longevity and weight loss.
How Anxiety Gains You Weight
Chronic Anxiety + Being Fat creates excessive weight gain. Here’s how.
As you continually retrace through Fight or Flight, you burn up huge amounts off micro-nutrients. After Fight or Flight passes, either because you relax or your adrenal glands run out of adrenal compound and crash, then your body will produce hunger impulses to eat foods to replenish the micro-nutrients just burned up by you being in Fight or Flight.
Micro-Nutrient Deficiency Generates Anxiety
If you’re eating macro-nutrient foods, you’ll have to over eat, consuming huge quantities of these foods to receive small amounts of micro-nutrients.
As your micro-nutrient deficiency continues, your body will enter a new Fight or Flight sequence, this time from nutrient deficiency.
You see the problem. It’s the dog chasing it’s tail faster and faster… till the dog drops. Ouch.
Resolving Micro-Nutrient Deficiency Anxiety
Remember in Weight Loss 101 we talked about how you know if you’re eating micro-nutrient foods…
“You know you’re nourished by the number of hours you forget to eat.”
For weight loss to be fun, fast & forever (meaning you do it once and only once) first change your eating style (diet) to include foods where you can eat a small portion and you’re satisfied quickly and for hours.
Resolving External Stress Anxiety
This handles micro-nutrient deficiency Anxiety.
Next up, handle all externally generated Anxiety.
This usually relates to one of two primary components.
First – areas of life where you feel out of control.
Second – areas of life you have to “armor against”.
Resolving Financial Stress
The primary life area people feel out of control with is their finances. Simple rule about money. If you can increase your income at will, then you’re in control.
This means having your own business. Where you can increase your income as required, to keep your life smooth and easy.

Resolving Neurological Stress
This is a big one, which is rarely spoken about anywhere.
Your body is a huge antenna. You receive input through all your senses. Processing this sensory input requires huge amounts of energy.
Fat is the great insulator. If your body is bombarded by sensory input, your body may be holding fat in an attempt to… turn down the electrical volume.
An experiment you can do is the cut off different sensory input channels, especially when you’re sleeping.
Primary channels to manage are sight, sound and EMF.

As you sleep…
Ensure your sleeping environment is dark. Put sheets over the window or wear an eye mask. My preference is keep my room dark as wearing an eye mask requires you to sleep on your back to keep your eye mask in place.
Ensure your sleeping environment is quiet. My preference for this are the orange, hexagonal, Silencio ear plugs. You can pick these up at any sporting store or gun shop, in the hearing protection aisle of the shooting section of your store.
Be sure when you insert ear plugs, to avoid having them press into your ear drum. If you lay on your side and an ear plug presses against your ear drum all night, you’ll wake with a raging ear ache. It only took one ear ache to help me seat my ear plugs correctly.
Ensure your sleeping environment is free of EMF (electro magnetic fields). EMF sources can be tricky to identify and nothing interrupts sleep worse.
Simple rule, ensure there is nothing plugged in any outlet in your bed room. Change out your clock radio with a battery powered or better wind up alarm clock. Or even better, create a home based business where you have trouble remembering what day it is and you throw out all your alarm clocks.
If you use an electric blanket, warm your bed and unplug it when you go to sleep.
If you watch television in your bedroom, unplug it before you go to sleep.
Wrapping Up
If you’ve been suffering from low grade, chronic Anxiety, once you’ve resolved all contributing factors, your weight loss will breeze by you.
